As most people have already heard Google has begun to penalize web sites that are not “mobile friendly” and lower their ranking on Google and its partner web sites.
“We’re boosting the ranking of mobile-friendly pages on mobile search results. Now searchers can more easily find high-quality and relevant results where text is readable without tapping or zooming”
– Google Webmaster Central – April 21,2015
In this video the Google staff discussed what Google looks for in their test for “Mobile Friendly” websites and what happens if yours is not. The steps below the video will help you test your site and provide options if it fails the “Google Mobile Friendly” test.
Step 1: Test your site with the free test: Google Mobile Friendly Test
Step 2: If your web site fails the test you need to take the following actions:
A. Install a Mobile Responsive “Bridge Portal” that allows Google and all internet users accessing the site on a mobile device to “see” your site in a Mobile Friendly version . This will provide immediate relief to your internet SEO ranking and prevent you from losing valuable placement on Google and any search engine that uses the Google search.
B. If you not have not already done so, make plans to convert your web site into a permanent “Mobile Friendly” format.
CEShoppes® provides an immediate solution to protect your web site ranking with our Mobile Friendly Portal. We can redirect Google and all mobile devices to a Mobile Friendly “View” of your website, so you don’t lose ranking on the Google Search engine. That gives you time to properly convert your website into a full mobile responsive platform.
Along with the Mobile Friendly Portal: we will provide a comprehensive report on all the things you need to do to fix the problem permanently. You can then use the report to have CEShoppes® or any other web contractor you choose quote the work, so you can be assured it will meet the Google Web site “Mobile Friendly” specifications .
